Although the design of this product is annoying and the highlight shades are useless this is by far the best contour product I have ever used.
The deep tan shade on the left is smooth and warm in color. It works as a bronzer on me.
For contour I use the cooler tone on the right hand side. This is what I use down the sides of my nose and as a sharp contrast under my cheek bones. If I feel the color is too grey I warm up my face with the bronzer.
The really dark color at the bottom is what I use for under my jawline. I don’t use this anywhere else it’s just way to dark. A little goes a long way with this shade. Tread lightly if you are med to tan. BTW for reference I am a deep tan, MAC NC 42.
Now back to those highlight shades. They are useless. They are super chalky, not smooth, and not pigmented. They get in the way of the contour shades but I work around them.
Sephora has marked this on sale, it looks as though it is now a discontinued product. I’ve stalked up on this palette. Sad to see it go but I hope it gets redesigned for us darker skin girls.
I received a special package today! Woot! I’m finally able to give these Makeup Geek shadows a whirl. I ordered 6 shades. Silly me did not realize I could fit 9 shades in a Z Palette.
I picked up the Z Palette from Ebay for $9. It was labeled as factory defect which is totally fine by me because there is only a dent when I lift the top to reveal the shadows. The shadows I chose are all natural shades. I desperately needed some matte shades to compliment all the Urban Decay Naked palettes I own. Each shadow was an affordable $5.99. Shipping came through First Class USPS Mail, so it took a solid week to arrive.
Colors in order:
Beaches & Cream
I hope these shadows are as amazing as I’ve heard. What other colors should I add to my collection?
I can’t stop staring at this creamy peach laquer. My boyfriend even likes it. It took 3 coats to reach this barely opaque color.
I’m an oily skin girl living in a winter dry world. I’m oily all over but come fall/winter my skin starts to dry up around my mouth, chin and nose. I spent hours on Sephora.com reading reviews, ratings and product descriptions looking for a moisturizer to get me though the season. I found the Origins Plantscription SPF 25 Anti-aging Oil Free Cream and I’m happy to say we are a match!
This cream absorbs quickly, does not leave me feeling greasy, has an SPF of 25, is cruelty free, has no parabens and has plenty of natural oils to hydrate and so much more. If you are an oily skin person looking for some extra moisture without all the fuss I suggest you give this a whirl. I purchased this on Sephora.com for $55. Keep in mind I don’t use very much and concentrate the product on dryer areas. I am still pretty oily on my forehead and cheeks.
Beauty Tip: Skin that is well exfoliated will drink up moisture better.

What a beautiful alternative to black polish. I’ll be keeping this in my collection for a while.
This polish contains gold and silver glitter and feels like sand paper on the nails. You can definitely count this as a texture polish.
This is limited edition, purchased from CVS.
UPDATE: So I was able to place an order on Urbandecay.com on November 21. I received an email from Urban Decay saying the Naked 3 was now in stock and to place an order. I did so at 10:15 AM PST. A few hours later the item was out of stock and is still showing out of stock online. It’s 11/24 5:43 PM PST. Sign up for email on the Urban Decay site if you want to be the first to know when they are back in stock. Good luck!
What does it take for you to get naked? Not much for me. Urban Decay will soon release their Naked3 Palette. This new product is inspired by rose gold hues. The case is beautiful and the shades are more warmer. All brand new shades too! Would you buy this just to have it or can you see yourself using these shades on a daily basis? I’d like to hear your opinion below.

I’ve heard this is set to release in December but I’ve also heard they are waiting for January. I wouldn’t be surprised if they release this on the Urban Decay site first and then waited to allow Sephora to sell it. If you want first hand access you should sign up for the Urban Decay email list.

Every now and then I’ll shop my stash and fall back in love with some beauty items.
MAC Blush in Melba- This peachy pink compliments many skin tones. Tends to leave a “glow” on me.
Laura Gellar Blush-n-Brighten in Apricot Berry- I received this in my very first Birchbox. That’s how they win you. It’s a beautiful shade of berry with a built in highlighter.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfection in Opal- This is a sample I received from a blogger conference. It’s more of a subtle sheen on my skin. I appreciate natural highlighters during the weekends and work.
Clinique Quickliner in Dark Chocolate-I love this liner and so glad I found it in some drawer. It’s almost finished so I’ll be picking up a new one during the Sephora VIB sale. This liner is rich in pigment and lasts all day. Plus no sharpening.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Liner in 005 NUDE- Do you know how long it took for me to find this? Months. So happy I have it, makes my eyes look perky and awake. It’s very pigmented, goes on smooths and lasts for hours.
Clinique Different Lipstick in Shy & Guava Stain – I just remembered that I love these. This collection is a variety of sheer lipsticks. They look natural on and provide just enough color while providing so much moisture. Another favorite shade of mine is called Tender-heart. I need to repurchase that ASAP. It’s a nude pink/brown. Shy is the first swatch above, followed by Guava Stain then the Nars Lip gloss in Chihuahua.
Nars Lip gloss in Chihuahua- This gloss reminds me of the Clinique tender heart lipstick, same shade different formula.
DKNY Be Delicious- I know it’s not spring or summer but I’ve been craving a clean yummy scent so I pulled this back out of my stash. It’s one of the only scents that does not annoy me.
Tarte lights, camera, lashes! – I received this as a sample in my last Sephora haul. I love this. It makes me look like I have more lashes, each is defined, volumized and plush looking. I would totally purchase this on my own.
